Signals Specialist Provision
St Gabriel's CofE Academy's vision is communicate love and inspire all in our community to flourish. Through this, our Specialist Provision - Signals - offers an enhanced environment to help pupils who benefit from additional, targeted support for communication and interaction needs specified in their educational health care plan. This provision is designed to create an inclusive environment that meets these specific needs, enabling pupils to maximise progress in their learning whilst being fully embedded in our school community.
Signals is one of Warwickshire's 'Specialist Resource Provision' centres.
Signals meets the needs of children who have complex communication and interaction difficulties (C & I) and secure a place in the provision through the EHCP process. The maximum number of places in the provision is 8.
The children who attend Signals benefit from the small group setting, as well as having the opportunity to integrate into the mainstream in a carefully managed environment.
Pupils in Signals are members of St Gabriel's CofE Academy and are encouraged, where appropriate, to access mainstream learning opportunities, collective worship, educational visits, playtimes and wider school activities. Opportunities for inclusion are carefully planned around each child's individual needs and reviewed regularly to ensure they experience success.
Our specialist staff use their expertise to build learning opportunities designed to meet the needs of each individual and work in close partnership with families and outside professionals to provide consistent, high-quality support. The provision includes resources and routines tailored to help every child develop the communication, social and independence skills they need to participate confidently in school and beyond.
