For children starting Reception in September 2026, applications must be submitted via Warwickshire Admissions following the timetable below:

* The child must be living in the new property by this date and sufficient documentary evidence received by the Admissions Service.

Late appeals will be heard within the statutory timescales published in the School Admission Appeals Code

Apply for ‘In-Year’ places – Reception to Year 6

If your child has already started school and wishes to move to St. Gabriel’s, you must apply for an in-year place and send it directly to the school.  St. Gabriel’s manages their own in-year admissions and where year groups are full, we hold waiting lists for pupils seeking entry.  

If you wish to move your child to St. Gabriel's for a September start in years 1-6, please apply by 10th June using the application form below.  Families will be notified if we have a place to offer by the end of June. 

Completed application forms need to be sent to office@stgabrielscofeacademy.org with evidence of your address.

If you have an email address, the easiest way to apply for a place is online.

1. Download the St. Gabriel’s In-Year Application form below
2. Complete the form and return it office@stgabrielscofeacademy.org along with proof of address
3. As proof of address, upload a copy of one of:
   • Council Tax bill for the current financial year
   • utilities bill within the last three months
   • car insurance policy
   • home insurance policy
   • signed and dated tenancy agreement
   • latest mortgage statement
4. You will receive an acknowledgement email within 2 working days.
5. If we are unable to offer your child a place, you will receive a letter with advice on next steps.
6. If we are able to offer your child a place, you will be invited in for a school tour.

In-Year Appeal Hearing Dates – 2025 / 2026

If your application for a school place at St Gabriel’s CofE Academy is unsuccessful, you have the right to appeal this decision and for your appeal to be heard by an independent panel.

For 2025/26, appeals for admission to St Gabriel’s CofE Academy will be administered by Warwickshire County Council. To submit an appeal, please complete the online form with Warwickshire Admissions via the link below:

If you require a paper form, please telephone Warwickshire Appeals on 01926 412954 or email schoolappeals@warwickshire.gov.uk to request a form.

Warwickshire County Council will acknowledge your appeal by letter and email within 5 school days of receipt. Notification of the appeal date will be sent out by email at least 10 school days before the hearing. Confirmation of the hearing details and the papers relating to your appeal will be sent out to all parties at least 7 calendar days before the appeal. The Independent Appeals Panel’s decision will be sent to you by email within 5 school days of the hearing where possible.

In year admissions appeals will be heard within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged.

Please note there will be no appeals heard between Tuesday 20 July 2026 and Friday 18 September 2026.
