Personal Development
At St Gabriel’s, everything we do is underpinned by our loving, distinctive and inclusive Christian ethos. We communicate God’s love and hope for the future to the children in our care and the community we serve by providing the best possible educational experiences and support for children and families. Experiences which are deeply affecting, inspiring confidence and fully equipping our children for their future; enabling them to flourish and fulfil their potential. We recognise each child is gifted with unique skills, talents and interests and place an equal emphasis on developing the whole child in every way.
Clubs
Throughout the year, children have access to a range of clubs led by school staff and external partners. Clubs are varied to appeal to a range of interests catering for children who love sports and games, the arts and continued curriculum-based learning.
Clubs led by school staff are free of charge for disadvantaged pupils. School funds 50% of clubs led by our external partners.
Music Tuition
Specialist music tutors are in school each week teaching children how to play guitar, keyboard and violin.
The school fully funds tuition for disadvantaged pupils.
Residentials
We proudly offer children multiple opportunities to attend a residential experience. Participating in a residential trip can encourage personal growth and social development in our children. It helps them to build resilience and problem-solving skills. Being away from home and around other children helps them to navigate unfamiliar situations and build independence. It also allows them to connect spiritually to the outdoors and to foster deeper connections with their peers.
